Herb Journey

I want to say for the past 10 years I've really been honing down and eliminating, plus adding, things into my way of living that have changed my life.. I am sure you can relate... One of them for me was growing and learning about herbs

Having a garden and living on the ranch growing up, I was taught about soil, planting, caring for and harvesting, taking the time to tend to everything; but often times I was busy playing sports, off with friends, or in school. It wasn't really until 2017 when I moved back home I had the itch to grow herbs on my own. My herbalism journey is just a hobby and a way of life, but one day I do wish to provide more herbs to the community besides the herb lavender.

Some herbs that are grown in the yard, but not limited to are, Rosemary, Peppermint, Feverfew, Yarrow, White Sage, Culinary Sage, Dill, Borage, Lemon Thyme, Comfrey, Basil, Oregano, and Chamomile. After the herbs are harvested, I dry them. Some of the herbs will be turned into powder and others will be turned into product that I use around the house and give to friends

Lavender is really the gateway herb that introduced me to growing herbs. I thought if I can grow my own lavender, and turn that into really useful things, I can grow other herbs too. I also wanted to know where my herbs are coming from. That is important to me.
